Your primary Therapist

Lauren Dornell-Neal, Lead Therapist, Well Being Transitions Counseling and Consulting Services

Lauren Dornell-Neal is a licensed professional counselor (LPC in North Carolina and Maryland), a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS, NC), a Certified Advanced Community Health Worker (NC), and a Developmental Transitions Doula serving as both a DONA Birth Doula and an End-of-Life Doula. She is committed to meeting people where they are—whether through community-based support or telehealth—offering a listening ear, non-judgmental care, and opportunities for collaboration on well-being.

Her career spans public service, community mental health, military family counseling, and private practice. From her early work in women’s substance abuse recovery programs, to trauma-informed care in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, to serving military families locally and abroad, Lauren brings both breadth and depth of experience.

Through Well Being Transitions Counseling & Consulting Services (WBTCS), Lauren integrates counseling, addiction treatment, maternal health, and community health leadership. She is dedicated to holistic, culturally affirming care that strengthens individuals, families, and communities through life’s most important transitions.
