About Lauren

  

EDUCATION:

Lauren completed her undergraduate degree in Human Relations (Sociology and Psychology) earned a Master’s degree in Community Counseling at Trinity University, Washington, DC, and was accepted into the Johns Hopkins University Clinical Community Counseling postgraduate program. While pursuing her studies, Lauren worked full-time, raised a family, and engaged with aging parents; she has compassion for people who juggle life responsibilities while seeking to maintain life balance. She offers late evening scheduling to honor busy individuals. 


QUALIFICATIONS:

Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor (NC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (MD) ; Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist; Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist; Employee Assistance Program  professional affiliate, Accredited Parenting Consultant for Triple P; Certified Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapist II through EDIT™ (specializing in binge eating disorder and pre/post bariatric surgery), Substance Abuse Professional (SAP DOT Certified), Lauren believes in meeting the needs of diverse populations and as a life-long learner,  committed to continuing education, professional and personal development to benefit the needs of diverse individuals who seek support through her services.  She is currently engaged in Nutritional and Integrative Medicine Certification to facilitate Clients in promoting health maintenance through nutrition. Lauren collaborates with your medical team, when you permit to support holistic wellbeing.

Lauren specializes in co-occurring disorders in teens and adults struggling with problems related to identity, stress, anxiety, and adults with history of childhood trauma, adult children of alcoholics, addictions, binge eating disorders, mood disorders, codependency relationship issues, career, as well as transitions and problems of everyday life and much more....
